Job Description

Position Summary The Industrial Mechanic is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, assembling, and maintaining a variety of mechanical systems and equipment. This position requires technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to read and interpret drawings. Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment using schematics and drawings.
  • Dismantle, inspect, and rebuild mechanical components.
  • Assemble and test hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical units to ensure proper function.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and micrometers (including ID/OD micrometers).
  • Accurately measure components using micrometers and tape measures to verify tolerances.
  • Provide clear training instructions and guidance to less experienced team members.
  • Paint, sandblast, and perform other surface preparation tasks as assigned.
  • Operate saws, drill presses, and other shop machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Use hand torches and related tools for disassembly, repair, and fabrication tasks. Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic system repair and assembly.
  • Proficient in the use of micrometers, calipers, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to interpret technical documentation.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks in an industrial environment.
  • Must be a team player with excellent attitude, have the ability to work independently, willing to work beyond a 40-hour week when business dictates
