About the Role We are currently looking for dependable and skilled Industrial Mechanics to join our growing workforce. This journeyman-level position involves the installation, alignment, rigging, maintenance, and repair of various process and utility piping systems, including air, water, steam, and chilled water lines. You will also work with rotating equipment, structural supports, and heavy industrial machinery within active commercial and industrial construction sites. Ensure the precise installation, leveling, alignment, and commissioning of mechanical systems to help guarantee long-term equipment reliability. Organize necessary materials and prepare the workspace for daily mechanical operations. Utilize forklifts, overhead cranes, and hoists to move heavy metal components, ensuring the safe positioning of equipment for the entire team. Navigate elevated and difficult work areas while strictly adhering to site-specific safety standards and OSHA guidelines. Maintain a tidy and well-organized jobsite throughout the duration of the shift. Adhere to all established safety policies, OSHA regulations, and client-specific site rules. Promptly notify supervision of any near misses, incidents, or hazardous conditions to help maintain a safe working environment for everyone. Finalize jobsite cleanup once tasks and projects are finished. Handle additional responsibilities as requested. Physical Expectations Capable of balancing, climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working at significant heights. Demonstrate strong hand-eye coordination while safely operating various tools and machinery. Adapt to a variety of tasks that may shift frequently throughout the workday. Maintain focus, mobility, and alertness while working in diverse conditions on active job sites. Qualifications At least 3 years of relevant experience in industrial mechanical construction. A strong desire to grow your skills within the industrial mechanical trade. Capacity to follow directions and contribute effectively to a team-based environment. Proficiency in using power and manual tools, such as calipers, squares, and saws. A valid driver's license is preferred. Ability to acquire basic computer skills for documenting work progress, communicating via email, and tracking status or procurements. Role Scope and Constraints While a formal mechanical license is not required, proven journeyman-level experience is mandatory. Collaborate with engineers, superintendents, project managers, and other trades to ensure project scope alignment and successful delivery. Maintain a clean, organized workspace while following all safety protocols. Perform other duties as assigned. This is a physically demanding position that requires crouching, kneeling, bending, lifting, and handling heavy loads. Frequent interaction with and handling of heavy tools and equipment. Must be prepared to work in outdoor heavy commercial jobsites, shutdown environments, manufacturing facilities, and active industrial plants under varying conditions.
