About the Role As an Industrial Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in the precision refurbishment and surface enhancement of critical industrial components. You will utilize your mechanical expertise to operate specialized machinery, ensuring that every part meets rigorous quality standards to support our clients' operational efficiency. Responsibilities Interpret complex engineering blueprints and technical instructions to execute precise component repairs. Operate manual machine tools, including lathes and cylindrical grinders, to achieve exact dimensional requirements. Apply advanced coating technologies and surface finishing techniques to restore industrial equipment. Utilize precision measurement instruments to verify thickness, surface roughness, and runout tolerances. Maintain accurate digital records of all repairs and quality inspections using internal software systems. Safely operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and overhead hoists, to position heavy components. Perform routine preventative maintenance on shop equipment to ensure consistent operational uptime. Collaborate with the production team to identify root causes of mechanical issues and implement effective solutions. Qualifications Required Skills High school diploma or GED equivalent. Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and experience with manual machining or industrial repair. Proficiency in using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators. Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on quality and process improvement. Basic computer literacy for data entry and production documentation. Preferred Skills Technical certification or degree in a mechanical or engineering field. Hands-on experience with welding processes (MIG, TIG, or Stick). Previous experience working within a Lean manufacturing or 5S-organized environment. Familiarity with thermal spray or industrial plating processes.
