7 positions available Position Summary The Gas Welder / Brazer is responsible for assembling and preparing specialized Pre-Conditioned Air (PCA) systems used to support aircraft equipment while on the ground. This position combines mechanical assembly, HVAC-related work, and copper brazing in a hands-on manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have previous brazing experience, the ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings, and experience working with hand tools and measurement equipment. Key Qualifications Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and schematics Previous brazing experience, particularly with copper Experience using hand tools and measurement equipment Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform hands-on assembly work Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assemble piping, mechanical parts, and electrical components for PCA systems according to engineering drawings, blueprints, and detailed work instructions Perform brazing and plumbing work to connect HVAC piping and copper assemblies Prepare, fit, and braze copper-to-copper connections Set up and perform testing and troubleshooting of completed PCA units Inspect completed work for quality and make corrections based on schematics, specifications, and established procedures Safely operate basic hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment Accurately measure components and materials during fabrication and assembly Maintain required documentation and complete work-order entries using production tracking systems such as ProPlanner Follow established safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures Participate in continuous improvement activities Assist with training new team members as needed Perform additional duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent or at least 6 months of relevant experience Previous brazing experience or demonstrated ability to successfully perform brazing work Ability to read and follow blueprints, schematics, and work instructions Experience using basic hand tools and measurement equipment Familiarity with manufacturing safety procedures Ability to obtain forklift and/or overhead crane certification if required Preferred Qualifications HVAC certification or previous HVAC experience Experience with mechanical and/or electrical systems Experience brazing copper piping or tubing Experience with ProPlanner or another manufacturing/production tracking system Associate degree in Mechanics, Electro-Mechanics, or a related technical discipline Schedule & Employment Details MondayThursday 6:00 AM4:30 PM Four 10-hour shifts $23$25/hour PTO Optional benefits 6-month contract Temp-to-hire opportunity direct hire is the intended path for successful candidates 7 openings currently available Interview Process Phone screen with the onsite recruiter Onsite copper-to-copper brazing test This is a great opportunity for candidates with hands-on copper brazing, HVAC, refrigeration, or mechanical assembly experience who are looking for a long-term opportunity with a path to direct hire.
