Fixed 2-3-2 Shift Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to support the maintenance and reliability of facility and industrial equipment within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for scheduled, unscheduled, and preventative maintenance, including troubleshooting and repairing existing equipment as well as supporting the installation of new equipment and removal of outdated equipment. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on mechanical skills, experience troubleshooting industrial equipment, and the ability to work independently while maintaining a strong focus on safety. This position will respond to equipment breakdowns, perform preventative maintenance, identify root causes, and collaborate with Maintenance Supervisors to develop corrective actions. Required Skills & Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required Minimum of 2 years of industrial maintenance experience or equivalent required 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience preferred Strong mechanical skills and knowledge of industrial equipment and tools Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment Knowledge of mechanical maintenance principles and equipment preferred Ability to respond to emergency equipment breakdowns and make timely repairs Ability to establish root cause of equipment failures Strong analytical, assessment, and decision-making skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong verbal, written, and electronic communication skills Punctual and consistent attendance required Ability to work beyond scheduled hours as needed Ability to work safely and comply with all EHS policies and procedures Ability and willingness to complete ongoing training and development Ability to obtain certification and safely operate Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIVs) Preferred Skills & Qualifications Associate degree in a technical or industrial discipline from an accredited institution 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance principles Experience working with industrial equipment and maintenance tools Hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving experience Experience identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions Experience operating forklifts, cranes, aerial lifts, or similar PIV equipment Day-to-Day Responsibilities Complete maintenance-related tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor Respond to emergency equipment breakdown calls and make necessary repairs as quickly and safely as possible Perform preventative maintenance (PM) on production and facility equipment Troubleshoot equipment issues, identify needed repairs, and establish root cause Present root cause findings to the Maintenance Supervisor and discuss future corrective actions Perform mechanical repairs involving belts, sprockets, chains, bearings, pulleys, and other industrial components Independently utilize mechanical skills and knowledge to complete assigned maintenance tasks Support the installation of new equipment and removal of outdated equipment Perform scheduled, unscheduled, and preventative maintenance on facility and industrial equipment Safely operate Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIVs), including forklifts, cranes, aerial lifts, and similar equipment after obtaining required certifications Maintain a safe and compliant work environment while performing maintenance activities Complete general labor and other duties as assigned Participate in ongoing training and professional development Work collaboratively with Maintenance Supervisors and other team members to resolve equipment issues Physical and Environmental Requirements This role requires the ability to perform hands-on mechanical maintenance in an industrial manufacturing environment. The position may require working beyond scheduled hours as needed to respond to equipment breakdowns or complete critical maintenance activities. Employees must be able to safely operate applicable Powered Industrial Vehicles, including forklifts, cranes, and aerial lifts, after obtaining the required certifications. All work must be performed in accordance with established safety procedures and EHS policies. Additional Role Requirements The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic will work closely with Maintenance Supervisors and other maintenance personnel to ensure facility and production equipment remains operational and reliable. The position requires a hands-on approach to problem solving, strong independent decision-making, and the ability to recognize when an issue should be escalated. The technician must demonstrate a commitment to the plant's Mission, Vision, and Values while maintaining effective communication across verbal, written, and electronic channels.
