Job Description

Mechanical Field Technician/Engineer The Mechanical Field Engineer provides project field engineering specialization across planning, material management, safety, quality control, technical inspection, and subcontract coordination for mechanical equipment and systems. This is a project site assignment in the Midwest.
Position:
Vista Energy L.P. is proactively seeking candidates for work in the United States at the project location in the Midwest . If selected candidate must relocate to the project site.
Required Skills & Education:
Design & Installation Oversight:
Interpret mechanical design drawings and specifications; oversee mechanical installation/fabrication including rotating equipment and centerline equipment.
Quantity Takeoff & Control:
Perform and track quantity takeoffs for field-purchased materials and equipment; forecast needs and report progress
Technical Inspection & Testing:
Conduct field verification of materials; ensure compliance with technical inspection and testing requirements
Safety & Quality Control:
Enforce safety policies and quality standards; ensure field activities are performed safely and meet project requirements. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Subcontract Coordination:
Liaise with OEMs and subcontractors to ensure alignment with engineering and installation plans and schedules
Constructability & Sequencing:
Coordinate with engineering on maintenance plans, construction sequences, and equipment setting plans
Equipment Release:
Phase release of mechanical equipment to civils for grouting, and piping assuring stress-free Hook Up connection and nozzle loading prior to final alignment
Modularization Planning:
Work with engineering and procurement on modularization efforts and sequencing to assure project timelines 7-10 years of Field Based Mechanical Engineer role and technical field experience. Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or minimum 7-10 years of relevant project execution experience. Excellent teamwork, communication and people skills required. Solid time management skills that demonstrate excellent organizational efficiency. Track record of achievement and career progression. Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Project, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Ability to walk over rough or uneven terrain as experienced on renewable energy construction sites. Ability to work in inclement weather conditions as experienced across North America and in locations where industrial projects are typically located. Ability to enter confined or enclosed spaces.

Six (6) to twelve (12) months
Working Conditions:
Assignment is project site based.
Work Schedule:
Work hours are based on a minimum of fifty-eight (58) hours per week, and subject to change based on project requirements.
