Anticipated Start Date September 28, 2026 Location Houston, TX Type of Employment Contract Hire Employer Info Our client specializes in the engineering and fabrication of rig systems, wellbore technologies, and completion and production solutions. Job Summary We are seeking a Mechanical Assembler to assemble parts and subassemblies into finished products using various tools and equipment. The Mechanical Assembler will work in a warehouse/shop floor environment and assemble complete products. The role also involves using automated equipment, forklifts, and small cranes to move parts. The ideal candidate will complete assigned assembly tasks efficiently to meet daily shift and team goals Job Description Produces components by assembling parts and subassemblies Reads and interprets schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions Positions or aligns components and parts manually or using hoists Uses hand tools or machines to assemble parts Conducts quality control checks Cleans and maintains the work area and equipment, including tools Prepares work by studying parts lists and gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials Positions parts and subassemblies using templates or by reading measurements Assembles components by examining connections for proper fit and fastening parts and subassemblies Verifies specifications by measuring completed components Resolves assembly problems by adjusting dimensions to meet specifications and notifying the supervisor when additional resources are needed Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and requesting repairs when needed Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations Maintains inventory by checking stock levels, placing and tracking orders, and verifying receipt of supplies Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job responsibilities Documents actions by completing production and quality forms Skills Required Previous assembly experience is highly preferred Must be able to read assembly blueprints in English Ability to solve practical problems and work with limited standardization Working knowledge of shop safety practices Understanding of quality assurance concepts, typically acquired through in-house training Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Adaptability and willingness to be cross-trained Excellent communication skills Takes initiative and demonstrates strong problem-solving skills Strong work ethic Flexible and adaptable based on work demands Education/Training/Certifications High School Diploma or GED Additional Requirements Must be able to pass drug screen, criminal background check & physical examination Willing and able to work overtime and occasional weekends as required
Shift Hours:
Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM; Some overtime may be required during the week and on weekends Pay Rate/Salary $20.82
