Complete preventive maintenance according to established schedules, manufacturerrecommendations, operating manuals, diagrams, and engineering specifications.
Diagnose equipment problems by observing machinery in operation, listening for unusualconditions, and using appropriate testing and precision measuring instruments.
Remove, repair, replace, and install defective or worn mechanical components using handtools, power tools, hoists, cranes, and other equipment. Some lifting may be necessary.
Inspect worn parts and determine necessary repairs or replacement by using rules,calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools.
Adjust and align equipment and components using levels, straightedges, plumb bobs, andother appropriate tools.
Work proactively to identify potential equipment issues before they result in costlydowntime or production interruptions.
Communicate effectively with production personnel regarding equipment condition,preventive maintenance requirements, and safe operating practices.
Maintain an organized inventory of maintenance parts, tools, equipment, and supplies;identify shortages and assist with ordering and receiving materials.
Document completed maintenance, repairs, equipment issues, and continuingmaintenance needs accurately and promptly.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following companyprocedures, safety requirements, and applicable regulations.
Continue developing technical knowledge and mechanical skills through training, hands-on experience, and technical resources.
