Heidelberg Materials seeks a Day Shift Maintenance Mechanic to keep critical manufacturing equipment running safely and reliably. In this role, you'll perform preventive and corrective maintenance on conveyors, crushers, motors, and plant systems, troubleshoot mechanical and hydraulic issues, and support equipment installs. Responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment during day shift to maximize uptime Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues and repair or replace components as needed Inspect conveyors, crushers, mixers, motors, and related plant systems to ensure safe, reliable operation Read and interpret mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and maintenance work orders Use hand and power tools, welders, and fabrication equipment to modify or rebuild parts Document maintenance activities in CMMS and communicate equipment status to supervisors and operators Follow all safety policies, lockout/tagout, and housekeeping standards in a heavy industrial environment Collaborate with operations, electricians, and supervisors to schedule repairs and minimize downtime Support root-cause analysis and continuous improvement of maintenance processes and equipment reliability Assist with installation, startup, and alignment of new or upgraded mechanical equipment Required Skills Mechanical maintenance Industrial equipment repair Hydraulics Pneumatics Welding and fabrication Blueprint and schematic reading Preventive maintenance (PM) Root cause analysis Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) CMMS software
