Job Description
Join Casper's Ice Cream and be part of the team that produces our well-known FatBoy Ice Cream novelties. We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to support production operations and ensure equipment reliability across the facility. This position plays a key role in maintaining uptime, product quality, and a safe working environment. What You'll Do Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on production machinery, motors, conveyor systems, pneumatic tools, and related equipment Troubleshoot mechanical issues using precision tools and instrumentation Fabricate and adjust parts as needed, and replace components to minimize downtime Maintain parts and supply inventories, anticipate maintenance needs, and place orders when necessary Track maintenance trends and prepare reports Collaborate with team members to support efficient plant operations Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times Schedule Weekend 12-hour grave shift: every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Work 36 hours and get paid for 40 Enjoy 4 days off every week - that's 16+ days off per month Pay We value your experience! Pay is based on your skills and experience, with a guaranteed minimum starting pay of $28/hr. Minimum starting pay $28/hr. Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience Experience in manufacturing or industrial maintenance Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair PLC and HMI systems Strong problem-solving and independent decision-making skills Proficiency with a wide variety of power tools and maintenance equipment Knowledge of OSHA safety standards Excellent communication skills Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Working Conditions Exposure to varying temperatures, including cold/freezer environments and areas near production equipment Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and reach for extended periods Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Required to wear appropriate PPE at all times Overnight weekend grave shift in a 24/7 food production facility Work Environment Work performed in a manufacturing environment with varying noise levels and moving equipment This role involves working around industrial machinery and may include exposure to electromagnetic fields generated by production equipment Exposure to food allergens, including peanuts and tree nuts, including contact with skins, oils, and dust generated during processing and grinding 100 YEARS
