Battery Changer Location:
Salt Lake City, UT 84104
Pay:
$17.58 Smart Staffing is seeking a dependable Battery Changer to support distribution center operations in the maintenance department. This role is ideal for someone mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and comfortable working around industrial equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely remove and replace industrial batteries on material handling equipment using specialized battery changing machinery Perform routine preventative maintenance on batteries and chargers, including fluid checks, cleaning terminals, and removing corrosion Troubleshoot basic battery and charger issues, perform minor mechanical repairs, and escalate complex problems to the maintenance team Accurately log battery changes, equipment hours, and maintenance activities Consistently follow OSHA, EPA, and company safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free battery room and surrounding areas

Training (1st shift, weekdays):
Tuesday-Thursday:
8:00 AM - 4:15 PM Regular 3rd shift schedule:
Friday-Sunday:
6:00 AM - 6:30 PM #INDSLC
