Shop/Manufacturing Support Position Summary- We are seeking a Shop Support worker to assist with general shop and manufacturing activities. A valid driver's license is required.

Important:

This position will primarily support snow removal in parking lots and may also assist at additional facilities or perform production/shop work as needed. Responsibilities Perform snow removal and general outdoor maintenance of parking lots and facilities as needed. Provide general support for assembly, fitting, welding, forming, and machine operation. Perform tasks such as scribing, trimming, sanding, polishing, drilling, punching, sizing, and deburring. Operate hand and power tools such as die grinders, bandsaws, chop saws, shears, grinders, polishers, and belt sanders. Clean metal parts using processes such as hand wiping, solvent washing, and chemical cleaning. Inspect completed work to ensure it meets specifications. Check dimensions using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, jigs, fixtures, and other inspection equipment. Identify and report faulty operations or quality issues. Follow written instructions, sketches, safety procedures, and established work standards. Maintain proper and safe operation of tools and equipment. Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Ask for clarification when instructions or requirements are unclear. Perform basic mathematical calculations related to shop support activities. Learn and apply the proper use of machine tools and precision measuring instruments. May assist with training other employees as experience is gained. Qualifications Valid driver's license

REQUIRED

Manufacturing, warehouse, shop, maintenance, or general labor experience preferred. Ability to safely use hand and power tools. Ability to read and follow written instructions and basic sketches. Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and shop operations. Ability to perform basic math. Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. Ability to recognize quality issues and follow established procedures. Ability to work safely around machinery, tools, chemicals, and outdoor conditions. Willingness to perform snow removal and other duties as needed. Working Conditions Work may take place in a manufacturing/shop environment as well as outdoors. Snow removal may require working in cold, wet, and winter weather conditions. Must properly use required PPE, including safety glasses/full-face shields, hearing protection, gloves, and heat-reflective garments when applicable. Must follow all safety requirements and established operating procedures.
