We are seeking a dedicated Heavy Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our manufacturing team. This role involves assembling complex industrial equipment and machinery, ensuring precision and adherence to technical specifications. Responsibilities Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to heavy machinery and industrial equipment. Assemble mechanical components using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and machining tools. Set up machining tools and calibrate measurement instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision measurement devices. Install and troubleshoot pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and electrical schematics. Interpret production documents to ensure assembly processes align with specifications and quality standards. Use measuring instruments for quality control, verifying dimensions and tolerances during assembly. Conduct welding operations and metal machining tasks to prepare components for final assembly. Read electrical schematics and integrate electrical components into mechanical assemblies. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow, safety compliance, and timely project completion. Requirements Proven experience in mechanical assembly within manufacturing or industrial environments. Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to mechanical systems. Strong knowledge of pneumatic systems, hydraulics, electrical systems, and industrial equipment. Skilled in using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and measurement gauges for quality control. Experience with CNC machines, machining tools setup, welding techniques, and metal fabrication. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and electrical schematics reading. Ability to interpret production documents accurately and follow detailed instructions. Mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and precision measurement devices. Good communication skills to work effectively within a team environment.
