Upscale Full-Service Hotel The Elyton Hotel , part of Ascent Hospitality, is seeking a dependable and hands-on Maintenance Worker to join our Engineering Team. This position reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor and/or Chief Engineer and plays an important role in supporting the daily operations of the Engineering Department while helping maintain a safe, comfortable, clean, and well-functioning hotel for our guests and team members. What You Will Do:

Proactively perform preventive maintenance and basic repairs throughout the hotel. Troubleshoot and assist with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and general building maintenance issues. Respond promptly to guest room and public-area maintenance requests. Complete assigned work orders and communicate maintenance concerns to Engineering leadership. Inspect guest rooms, public areas, equipment, and facilities for maintenance issues. Assist with painting, drywall repairs, furniture repairs, doors, locks, fixtures, and other general maintenance projects. Support preventive maintenance programs and property improvement projects. Maintain tools, equipment, engineering areas, and workspaces in a clean and organized condition. Follow all hotel safety procedures, company policies, and applicable safety standards. Provide professional and courteous service when interacting with guests and team members. Assist with emergency maintenance situations and respond appropriately when required. Support the Engineering Department in maintaining an exceptional guest environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Previous hotel maintenance, facilities, apartment maintenance, construction, or related experience preferred. Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general maintenance. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to safely use basic hand and power tools. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays when required.
