You will support the Engineering team with daily maintenance, repairs, preventative maintenance, and property upkeep throughout guest rooms, public areas, exterior spaces, and back-of-house areas. Your attention to detail and hands-on work will help ensure our guests enjoy a comfortable stay and our team has a safe and functional workplace. What You Will Do Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance throughout the hotel. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and hotel departments. Assist with basic HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and general building repairs . Inspect and maintain guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house areas, and exterior spaces. Repair and maintain doors, locks, fixtures, furniture, lighting, appliances, and hotel equipment. Complete assigned maintenance work orders accurately and efficiently. Respond to maintenance emergencies and guest needs in a timely and professional manner. Assist with preventative maintenance inspections and scheduled projects. Help maintain the hotel grounds and exterior areas as needed. Keep maintenance areas, tools, and equipment clean and organized. Communicate maintenance concerns, safety issues, and equipment problems to the Engineering leadership team. Assist with property improvement projects, inspections, and renovations as needed. Follow all safety procedures, Marriott brand standards, and company policies . Provide professional and courteous service to guests and team members. What We're Looking For Previous experience in hotel maintenance, building maintenance, facilities, construction, or a related field preferred. Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and general maintenance. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to safely use basic hand and power tools. Reliable, dependable, and willing to take ownership of assigned responsibilities. Strong attention to detail. Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance requests. Ability to work independently while supporting the Engineering team. Commitment to safety, preventative maintenance, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction. Marriott or hotel maintenance experience is a plus.
