Hours will be flexible week-by-week depending on scheduling needs . This energetic position offers the opportunity to drive our residents to appointments while also engaging in maintenance tasks that keep our operations running smoothly when appointments are not scheduled. We are committed to fostering a positive environment where your skills in driving, mechanical work, and customer service will make a meaningful impact every day. Responsibilities Assists residents with loading and unloading from facility-approved vehicles. Ensures the safe transportation of residents to scheduled medical appointments or other approved activities, resident outings, etc. Maintains the interior and exterior of facility vehicles to promote safe and comfortable transport for the residents and project a positive image in the community. Monitors vehicle maintenance logs and delivers vehicle for regularly scheduled maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, etc. Must be flexible with work time (in the event a resident appointment or activity runs late. Skills Proven experience in bus driving, commercial driving, or school bus driving with valid licenses and certifications Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse communities Knowledge of basic mechanical repairs and vehicle maintenance procedures Excellent customer service skills with an emphasis on working with children, seniors, or individuals requiring special assistance Ability to manage behavior effectively and handle challenging situations calmly and professionally Experience in teaching or childcare is advantageous for roles involving young passengers or vulnerable populations Good writing skills for completing reports, logs, and incident documentation accurately Join us to make a difference through safe transportation and dedicated maintenance work.
