OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES
This position involves performing journeyman duties of difficult and complex nature in most all of the skilled craft trades including carpentry, electronics, painting, small appliances, heating and cooling, refrigeration, locksmithing, electrical, plumbing, roofs and sprinkler systems. Duties are those as related to each specific craft and range from routine to highly complex, requiring the making of shop drawings, reading of blueprints, costing out the job, ordering of needed material and supplies, using independent judgement to complete the task, also assisting in the direction of other workers assigned, will also perform other duties as assigned. Must be knowledgeable in the construction of, as well as the maintenance and repair of the above listed crafts. May work in the capacity of Lead person.

SKILLS
AND KNOWLEDGE
Be able to perform all the required tasks of the specific trades. Be able to prepare working drawings. Be able to skillfully use all tools and materials associated with the trades. Some experience in most all of the crafts is preferred. Be able to troubleshoot areas related to the trades. Have knowledge to foresee and relate to preventive maintenance as well as construction and repairs.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Considerable physical activity which may include walking, climbing, stooping, squatting, crawling, bending , pushing, pulling and lifting.
EDUCATION
Some technical education or job-related learning experience beyond high school diploma or equivalent. Completion of relevant apprenticeship program preferred.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
At least three years of experience in the specific crafts or formal apprenticeship program, or training program with work program in the specific trades. All previous work experience must demonstrate the ability to perform the tasks in most of the above skilled craft trades. Certification or documentation of proficiency in skilled trade required.
