ATSU - General Maintenance Assistant Job Type Full-time Description A.T. Still University (ATSU) is seeking a full-time, non-exempt General Maintenance Assistant on the Mesa, Arizona campus. This position performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled non-licensed work in the maintenance, repair, and restoration of the university's buildings and grounds, including but not limited to, minor carpentry, landscaping, irrigation repairs, painting, plumbing, flooring, and limited heating/air conditioning work. This work will assist in ensuring the safety and general appearance of the campus buildings and surrounding grounds are maintained in accordance with the required standards.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Respond to assigned work orders in a timely manner. Inspect buildings and identify corrective maintenance needs and ensure equipment is operating correctly. Coordinate with vendors when work is contracted out. Troubleshoot general building system issues and problems. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Requirements"> High school diploma or equivalent required. Ability to identify and resolve issues independently or with guidance from supervisors. Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, students and faculty. Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work efficiently. Ability to climb up and down ladders to up to 25 feet. Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods, as well as lift and carry heavy objects, is crucial. Ability to collaborate with other maintenance staff or contractors. Ability to interact professionally with customers or occupants of the building. Willingness to adapt to different tasks and work schedules, including weekends or emergencies. Adherence to safety procedures and work instructions provided by supervisors or technical manuals. Proficiency in operating and maintaining equipment is essential. Ability to move around freely in a building, including navigating stairs and ramps, is important. Hiring Range:

20.58 to 23.68 negotiable based on experience. A.T.
