Job Description
TITLE:
Maintenance Worker III
•HVAC
JOB GOAL:
To maintain HVAC and refrigeration systems so that they will provide comfort and safety to students and staff in the most efficient manner possible.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Examine all HVAC and refrigeration systems of district facilities on a regular basis for working efficiency.
2. Carry on a preventive maintenance schedule of all HVAC and refrigeration systems.
3. Maintain accurate records of preventive maintenance repairs and parts used on all HVAC and refrigeration systems.
4. Provide material estimates for major repair, remodel or expansion of HVAC or refrigeration systems when requested.
5. Maintain inventory of frequently used parts and materials needed for P.M. and repair of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
6. Performs multi-voltage electrical repair, installation and new construction.
7. Performs other related duties as required by the supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. High school diploma or GED required.
2. Three years previous experience as a journeyman in the field of air conditioning and refrigeration.
REPORTS TO
Facilities Maintenance Director
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
12 month work year. Salary and benefits as established by the Board.
EVALUATION
Performance of this job shall be evaluated by the Facilities Maintenance Director in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation of classified personnel.
