This classification is subject to the Post and Bid process. Applications from a certification list, transfer change in class, reinstatement, re-employment, and training and development assignment candidates will be accepted for this position but consistent with the MOU/Bargaining Agreement BU12/13 contract cannot be acted upon unless the Post & Bid process does not result in a hire. The reporting location for this position is Millerton Lake State Recreation Area in Friant, CA. This position will work under the supervision of Park Maintenance Chief I. The Park Maintenance Worker I (PMW I) performs skilled and semi-skilled maintenance and repair of park systems and facilities. The incumbent may act as a lead person for other staff and work crews. Performs semi-skilled and manual labor to maintain and repair buildings, structures, campsites, picnic facilities, roads, parking areas, rails, fixtures, water and sewer systems, irrigation systems, perform carpentry, electrical, plumbing, masonry and electrical work on facilities. Installs signs, fences, repairs roads, lays asphalt and clears culverts. Uses power and hand tools in the accomplishment of the work. Training and Development Assignments may be considered. Possession of a valid Class C driver's license is required. You must answer the questions addressing your driver's license on your application. The selected candidate is required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting prior to appointment. The incumbent's work schedule will be Friday to Tuesday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM This position is designated as not telework eligible. State housing is not available.
