Maintenance Aides:
  • Learn new skills
  • Maintain park grounds on the beautiful central coast
  • Work outdoors in our campgrounds, trails, day-use areas, and beaches
  • Use power tools to gain skills and knowledge
  • Training Provided Basic requirements: Applicants must possess the ability to read at a level required for successful job performance; demonstrate the ability to follow directions; compute simple mathematical calculations; wear a uniform and conform to minimal grooming standards; establish work procedures and park rules and regulations; perform various manual tasks; interact successfully with the public and address their concerns, and possess the ability to work cooperatively and effectively with park staff and volunteers.
Possession of a valid California driver's license and a safe driving record as documented by the Department of Motor Vehicles is required. Training is provided. Applicants must be willing to work the day shifts or swing shifts, weekends, and holidays. A typical workweek is 30-40 hours. State housing is not available.
