We are seeking a skilled Assistant Sexton to join our team. This position will report to the on-site Facilities Manager. The Assistant is responsible for helping with the maintenance and upkeep of our church, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our congregation and visitors. This role is critical to the success of our church, and we are looking for a detail-oriented and hardworking individual to take on the responsibilities of this position. Perform regular cleaning and maintenance tasks to keep the church and surrounding grounds clean and tidy.

• Perform minor landscaping under the supervision of the Facilities Manager.
• Ensure all facilities are in good working order, including restrooms, kitchen, and sanctuary.
• Perform repairs and minor renovations as needed.
• Coordinate with the Facilities Manager for special projects.
• Provide exceptional customer service to visitors and members.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience or a similar maintenance role is preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Ability to work independently and as part of the Sexton team.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
• Ability to use tools and equipment necessary for the job.
• Familiarity with the principles of safety and a commitment to following safety protocols.
• Ability to work a varied schedule, including weekends and evenings.
• A passion for serving the church and its community.
