In this vital role, you will support the maintenance and repair of building systems, equipment, and infrastructure to ensure a safe, efficient, and comfortable environment. The Maintenance Technician Assistant will work closely with experienced technicians, gaining hands-on experience across various maintenance disciplines including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems. Bilingual is a plus! Responsibilities Assist with routine inspections and preventive maintenance of facilities equipment and systems such as HVAC units, electrical panels, plumbing systems, and building interior components. Help with plumbing system maintenance and repairs, including leak detection and fixture replacements. Participate in HVAC system repairs and routine servicing to ensure optimal performance. Use hand tools, schematics, and other diagnostic equipment to identify issues and perform repairs under supervision. Assist with maintenance painting projects and carpentry tasks to maintain building aesthetics and structural integrity. Support the operation of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automated systems and contribute to facilities equipment maintenance tasks. Follow safety protocols during all maintenance activities and document completed work accurately. Collaborate with team members on supervising tasks when necessary and contribute to a positive customer service experience for internal clients. Qualifications Basic mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools for repair work. Familiarity with electrical equipment repair, plumbing systems, HVAC systems, and building interior maintenance. Experience working with maintenance, repair. Knowledge of plumbing system maintenance and repair techniques. Strong communication skills in English for effective teamwork and documentation. Bilingual is a plus. Being able to follow direction and work on your own after given said responsiblities. This role is paid in accordance with industry standards for entry-level maintenance support positions.
