Full Job Description Job Summary:

The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, functionality, and overall appearance of the facility. This position performs a variety of janitorial, preventive maintenance, and general repair tasks to ensure buildings, equipment, and outdoor areas remain in excellent working condition.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Maintain the cleanliness of offices, break rooms, restrooms, common areas, and outdoor spaces through routine janitorial services.
• Perform regular facility inspections to identify maintenance needs and proactively address issues.
• Complete general building repairs, including: o Painting and wall patching o Replacing light fixtures and bulbs o Minor plumbing repairs o Door, lock, and hardware repairs o General fixture maintenance
• Perform preventive maintenance on building equipment and facility systems.
• Keep outdoor areas clean by removing trash, sweeping, and performing light landscaping when needed.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders.
• Assist with office moves, furniture assembly, workstation setups, and special facility projects.
• Monitor facility conditions and report major repairs or safety concerns to management.
• Follow all company safety policies and maintain compliance with OSHA and company standards.
• Support other facility-related projects and perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of experience in facilities maintenance, janitorial services, building maintenance, or general repair work preferred.
• Basic knowledge of building maintenance, electrical, plumbing, and general repair techniques.
• Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Positive attitude and willingness to assist wherever needed. Physical Requirements
• Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and reach overhead.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds .
• Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to safely use maintenance tools, equipment, and cleaning products

Pay:

$20.00 - $21.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
