Facilities Helper Job Description The Facilities Helper plays a crucial role in ensuring the maintenance, cleanliness, and operational readiness of buildings and grounds. This position involves physically demanding tasks, requiring hands-on labor, tool knowledge, and heavy lifting experience. Responsibilities Support the maintenance and cleanliness of buildings and grounds. Perform hands-on labor tasks using various tools. Assist in repair, painting, and preventive maintenance activities. Essential Skills Experience in facilities maintenance and mechanical operations. Knowledge of maintenance techniques and facility operations. Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks. Additional Skills & Qualifications Good physical stamina. Strong time management skills. Ability to work independently. Why Work Here? Work Environment The role is based in a community college, operating Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The work environment is collaborative, with an emphasis on maintaining a safe and clean campus for students and staff. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Whittier, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
