We are seeking a dependable, skilled General / Property Maintenance Worker to help maintain our residential homes and program facilities. What You'll Do As our General / Property Maintenance Worker, you'll perform a wide variety of maintenance, repair, and improvement projects across agency-owned homes and facilities, including: Drywall patching, repair, texture, and painting Light remodeling and general carpentry projects Minor electrical repairs and fixture replacement Installation and repair of laminate flooring Minor HVAC maintenance and preventative maintenance tasks Window replacement and repair General plumbing repairs such as replacing faucets, toilets, fixtures, cleaning drains using drain snakes, and working with PEX, PVC, and copper piping Preventative maintenance of buildings and equipment Troubleshoot and complete repairs safely and efficiently Maintain clean and organized work areas Assist with moving furniture, appliances, and equipment as needed Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate repair needs to management Vehicle Maintenance Responsibilities Occasionally assist with minor agency vehicle maintenance, including: Battery replacement Topping off vehicle fluids Changing flat tires On-Call Responsibilities This position includes limited on-call responsibilities for maintenance emergencies during evenings or weekends. Approximately 5% of the time Company vehicle provided for work-related travelWhat We're Looking For The ideal candidate has experience in several trades and enjoys solving problems independently.

Preferred experience includes:

General building maintenance Carpentry Drywall installation and repair Painting Basic electrical work Basic plumbing Flooring installation Window installation HVAC preventative maintenance General repair and troubleshooting Physical Requirements Candidates must be able to: Lift and carry 60 pounds repeatedly throughout the workday Frequently climb ladders and work at varying heights Bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, and work in confined spaces Work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Safely operate power tools and maintenance equipment Minimum Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to pass a criminal background check Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen Reliable transportation to and from work Strong attention to detail Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Excellent problem-solving and communication skills Previous maintenance experience preferred What We Provide $22.00-$30.00 per hour , depending on experience Monday-Friday schedule (8:00 AM-4:00 PM) Company vehicle provided during work hours Company tools and equipment provided Stable, year-round full-time employment Supportive team environment Opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a nonprofit organization Why Join Smith Agency?
