Bookcliff Country Club , located in Grand Junction, CO , is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a full-time Crew Foreman ! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast‑paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon , you'll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.
Compensation:
$20.50- $22.
General Purpose:
Directs and participates in the construction and maintenance of the grounds and facility buildings, and performs related tasks as required. A high degree of emphasis will be placed on irrigation maintenance and repair, as well as assisting in the supervision of seasonal staff on specified projects.Key Responsibilities:
Handles day-to-day maintenance on the irrigation system, including course watering and repair Assists in cultural practices, including spiking, top-dressing, aerification, fertilization, and spraying Performs brush and tree removal; trains in chainsaw usage and safety; effectively supervises one or two individuals while operating equipment Communicates with the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent regarding small course project teams, irrigation repair, rough mowing, irrigation watering, and all other aspects of golf and turf management Available to work weekends and holidays as needed; scheduling can be adapted to fit the individual but typically consists of one weekend day and four weekdays during the season — winter months are more flexible and variable Assists with course mowing of greens, tees, fairways, and rough, as well as other course setup duties as needed May be involved in driving tractors, operating skid steers, and using excavators to perform various tasks or projectsEducation and Experience:
Associate's degree (AA); or six months to one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience — all applicants without experience will be considered Valid driver's license and Pesticide Application License (or ability to attain one)Minimum Qualifications:
Must be a self-starter and motivator with a general eagerness to learn and grow Working knowledge of small engine operation and repair helpful but not required Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job Behaviors Detail-oriented Team playerDedicated Motivation Self-starter Flexibility Benefits & Other Compensation:
