Up to 35 hours per week; additional hours may be available with prior approval Job Summary A private member-owned outdoor club is seeking a dependable, hardworking and technically inclined Grounds and Property Maintenance Assistant . This hands-on position supports the Foreman with daily property operations, grounds maintenance, equipment operation, facility upkeep, event preparation and general member-service needs. The work is varied and may include maintaining roads and trails, operating tractors and mowers, assisting with land-management projects, troubleshooting equipment and preparing facilities for member events. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, follows instructions, works safely and can complete assignments independently when needed. Responsibilities Assist with daily property inspections, operations and general upkeep. Maintain roads, trails, fields, ponds, streams, parking areas, buildings and recreational facilities. Operate tractors, utility vehicles, mowers, trailers, hand tools and power equipment. Perform basic equipment maintenance and assist with troubleshooting small engines, tools, machines, electrical items and property systems. Assist with mowing, seeding, brush clearing, food plots, wildlife habitat projects, pond maintenance and stream-access work. Prepare facilities and grounds for meetings, dinners, outdoor activities and other member events. Assist with event setup, cleanup, parking, supply stocking and general support. Help maintain bathrooms, storage areas, work areas and other club facilities. Complete minor repairs, remove trash and restock supplies. Conduct routine property and security checks, including checking gates and buildings. Report safety concerns, maintenance needs, equipment problems and supply needs to the Foreman. Provide respectful and professional assistance to members, guests, vendors and fellow employees. Perform other related duties as assigned. Preferred Qualifications Experience with grounds maintenance, landscaping, farming, construction, property maintenance or similar outdoor work. Experience operating—or the ability to learn—tractors, mowers, utility vehicles, trailers and small equipment. Comfortable safely operating a chainsaw and following proper safety procedures. Basic mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting ability. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools and small-engine equipment. Ability to work independently while following instructions and established priorities. Strong communication and organizational skills. Dependable attendance and a professional attitude. Willingness to perform a wide variety of assignments. Physical and Working Conditions This is an active, outdoor position. The employee must be able to: Work outdoors in heat, cold, rain and changing weather conditions. Walk and work on uneven terrain. Regularly bend, climb, carry, push, pull and perform physical labor. Safely lift and carry tools, equipment, materials and supplies. Work around tractors, mowers, utility vehicles and other powered equipment. Employment Requirements Valid driver's license. Successful completion of a background check. Drug test required. Ability to follow all safety policies and equipment procedures. Compensation and Benefits $25-$32 per hour , depending on experience and qualifications. Up to 35 hours per week , unless additional hours are approved in advance. Occasional overtime, evening and weekend work may be required. Medical coverage reimbursement of up to $50 per paycheck for an eligible employee enrolled through a spouse or partner's medical plan.
