Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic facilities maintenance team as a Maintenance Helper Worker, where you will play a vital role in supporting the upkeep and smooth operation of our facilities. This energetic position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in mechanical, electrical, and general maintenance tasks while contributing to a safe, efficient, and well-maintained environment. Whether assisting with repairs, troubleshooting systems, or supporting ongoing projects, you'll be an essential part of ensuring our facilities operate at their best every day. Duties Assist with routine maintenance tasks across various systems, including electrical, mechanical, and plumbing components. Support the inspection and troubleshooting of equipment using tools such as ohmmeters and schematics to identify issues accurately. Aid in performing welding and residential painting projects to maintain facility aesthetics and structural integrity. Help coordinate with supervisors on scheduled maintenance activities and emergency repairs. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Follow safety protocols diligently during all maintenance operations to ensure a secure work environment. Support supervising staff in training new team members and overseeing small projects to foster leadership skills. Skills Basic electrical experience with an understanding of schematics and electrical systems. Mechanical knowledge related to facility equipment and machinery. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in automation processes. Experience with welding techniques and residential painting is a plus. Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and facility diagrams effectively. Strong customer service skills to communicate clearly with team members and other departments. Proficiency in using tools such as ohmmeters, schematics, and other diagnostic equipment. Prior experience in facilities maintenance or manufacturing environments is highly desirable. Leadership or supervising experience that demonstrates your ability to guide others and manage tasks efficiently.
