Job Description
This is a full-time position: Monday

Your dedication will ensure our facilities operate smoothly while providing you with valuable skills in custodial services and maintenance operations. SUMMARY
- Semiskilled position responsible for performing custodial and janitorial duties in City facilities, along with light building maintenance and grounds support, as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Thoroughly clean and disinfect toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors, partitions, and floors; restock soap, toilet paper, paper towels, and hand sanitizer dispensers. Empty all office, hallway, and restroom trash and recycling bins; replace liners and transport waste to designated dumpsters. Sweep and mop; vacuum carpets, rugs, and high-traffic entryways. Wipe down high-touch public areas, including door handles, light switches, elevator buttons, handrails, counters, and reception areas. Clean countertops, tables, sinks, and exterior surfaces of appliances (microwaves, refrigerators). Dust office furniture and surrounding areas, filing cabinets, windowsills, blinds, picture frames, and wall vents (excluding desks). Wash interior glass doors, partitions, and windows to remove smudges and fingerprints. Clean hard floors, shampoo and/or steam-clean carpets on a scheduled rotation. Clear cobwebs from corners, stairwells, and high ceilings outside doorways. Arrange and set up tables, chairs, podiums, and microphones for City Council meetings, advisory board meetings, training sessions, public hearings, elections, and other City-sponsored events; tear down and store equipment post-event, as needed. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when directing citizens or visitors to various municipal departments. Inspect City facilities for structural damage, vandalism, plumbing leaks, HVAC malfunctions, lighting failures, and other maintenance concerns, and promptly report deficiencies to the Infrastructure Maintenance Manager. Monitor stock levels of cleaning chemicals, paper products, and tools; maintain inventory and request replenishment as needed. Sweep or blow off exterior entryways, and immediate walkways; pick up litter around the building perimeter. Employees must not access or handle any documents or materials unrelated to assigned duties and must treat all information encountered while working in City facilities as confidential. EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED and one (1) year of experience in custodial services, janitorial work, building maintenance, facilities maintenance, or a closely related field; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must possess a valid Florida Driver's License and have and maintain an acceptable driving record.QUALIFICATIONS
