Part time maintenance helper

Job Summary The Maintenance Helper plays a crucial role in supporting the maintenance team by assisting with various tasks related to facilities upkeep and repair. This position requires a proactive individual who is eager to learn and contribute to the overall functionality and appearance of the facility. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of mechanical knowledge, customer service skills, and a willingness to take on diverse responsibilities. Must be able to work independently. This position requires some houseman responbilities. Duties Assist in performing routine maintenance and repairs on building systems and equipment. Support residential painting projects, ensuring high-quality finishes. Read and interpret schematics to assist in troubleshooting issues effectively. Participate in facilities maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC support. Fabricate parts or components as needed for repairs or improvements. Provide excellent customer service by responding to requests and inquiries from staff and residents. Supervise minor projects or tasks as directed by senior maintenance staff. Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders and inventory. Requirements Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in maintenance or repair work. Familiarity with residential painting techniques is preferred. Ability to read schematics and technical drawings effectively. Previous experience in facilities maintenance is a plus. Proficiency in English for effective communication with team members and residents. Leadership qualities with the ability to supervise small teams when required. Customer service-oriented mindset to ensure satisfaction among residents and staff. Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
