Position Summary The Maintenance Associate is responsible for the general maintenance, repair, cleanliness, and appearance of the hotel and grounds while providing exceptional guest service. This role supports the Maintenance Manager and helps ensure the property is safe, clean, and operating efficiently. This is a part-time position offering up to 30 hours per week. The schedule consists of 3 to 5 shifts per week and requires regular availability for nights, weekends, and holidays. Applicants who are not available during these times should not apply. Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Performing general repairs and preventative maintenance Minor electrical, plumbing, and air conditioning repairs Pool cleaning and maintenance Groundskeeping, including sweeping, blowing the property, raking sand, and watering plants Replacing light bulbs and completing routine property inspections Cleaning and organizing maintenance areas Laundry duties, including washing, drying, and folding towels Assisting guests with room maintenance requests Assisting guests with luggage when needed Delivering guest folios Filling fountains Checking vehicles for valid parking permits Emptying trash receptacles Reporting maintenance concerns, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries Communicating completed work and outstanding issues to the next shift and management Properly storing flammable materials and maintaining a safe work environment Guest Service Our Maintenance Associates play an important role in the guest experience.
Team members are expected to:
Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests. Provide friendly, professional, and courteous service. Welcome and acknowledge every guest. Anticipate guest needs and resolve concerns efficiently. Work collaboratively with all hotel departments. Address guest concerns promptly and notify management of any issues. Qualifications Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Must maintain an outstanding attendance record. Minimum one year of hotel maintenance, handyman, or related experience preferred. Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, and preventative maintenance is preferred. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently. Strong organizational and communication skills. Fluent in English (bilingual is a plus). Quick learner with a positive, team-oriented attitude. High school diploma or equivalent.
