Job Description

Position:
Facilities Maintenance Assistant Location:
Fort Pierce, FL 34946
Compensation:
$20-$25 and up depending on experience
Hours:
Full-time, 40 hours Monday-Friday (occasional weekend/evening work may be required)

a pre-employment background check. Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. We are looking for a dependable and skilled Facilities Maintenance Assistant to help maintain our aviation training campus. The ideal candidate will have general maintenance experience and be comfortable with drywall, painting, basic plumbing, and HVAC. This position requires someone who can troubleshoot issues, prioritize tasks, work independently, and communicate effectively.
Essential Job Functions:
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and perform physical labor, including moving furniture and climbing stairs/ladders. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in hot, cold, and wet conditions. Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance needs. Ability to troubleshoot issues and determine when outside assistance is needed. Capacity to use company computers and software for timekeeping and payroll.
Job Duties:
Maintain campus buildings. Perform minor repairs, including drywall, painting, basic plumbing, and general building repairs. Assist with basic HVAC maintenance and troubleshooting. Inspect facilities and identify maintenance issues. Move furniture and equipment as needed. Maintain common areas and exterior property. Maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies and request items as needed. Coordinate major repairs with management and outside vendors. Assist with student housing upkeep and preparation. Maintain a safe and organized work area. Perform other related duties as assigned. Reports directly to the Academy Operations Manager.
