Maintenance personnel perform work involving the skills to keep machines, mechanical equipment, or the structure of a building in repair. Duties/Responsibilities Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed. Replacing lightbulbs and other electrical work. Plumbing (sinks , toilets, etc). Minor HVAC repair and maintenance. Performs electrical maintenance and repairs to equipment. Performs center wide basic repair in custodial, roads, and grounds. Operates and maintains a variety of maintenance associated power tools. Collects and disposes of all litter, trash and debris on grounds, streets and parking lots. Assists other maintenance staff with necessary maintenance and repairs of Center buildings. Performs preventative maintenance and repairs to associated equipment. Performs limited repairs of buildings and associated equipment, fixtures, and infrastructure. Monitor supply levels of products needed to perform janitorial tasks. Maintains professional appearance. Other tasks as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings or other structures. The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects. The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects. Must have ample dexterity to bend, reach, stretch, sit, stand, type, and lift up to 30 pounds. Education and Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Must be able to pass a background check, drug screening, and Motor Vehicle Report.

Pay:

$20.00 - $24.00 per hour
