Maintenance Assistant - Assisted Living Facility Water's Edge of Lake Wales is seeking a dedicated and reliable Maintenance Assistant to join our team at our welcoming assisted living community. This full-time role offers an opportunity to contribute to a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for our residents. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to providing excellent service.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout the facility to ensure safety and functionality Conduct inspections of common areas, resident rooms, and outdoor spaces Assist with preventative maintenance tasks to prolong the lifespan of equipment and facilities Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or residents Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs Assist with setup and breakdown for community events and activities Ensure compliance with safety standards and facility policies
Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience in maintenance, repair, or a related field Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good communication skills Flexibility to work some weekends as required Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building maintenance preferred Valid driver's license and reliable transportation At Water's Edge of Lake Wales, we pride ourselves on fostering a caring and supportive environment for both our residents and staff.
