Multiple Properties - Local Travel Required About the Position We are seeking a dependable, hands-on Property Maintenance & Operations Assistant to help maintain and oversee the appearance, upkeep, and day-to-day needs of multiple properties. This is a varied, hands-on position where no two days may be exactly the same. Responsibilities will include landscaping and lawn care, minor property maintenance and handyman tasks, general cleaning and upkeep, picking up and delivering materials, assisting with projects, and handling various tasks as they arise. We are looking for someone who takes initiative, thinks independently, has good common sense, and can figure things out without needing to be told every step of the way. The ideal candidate is someone we can trust to see something that needs attention, determine what needs to be done, and either take care of it or communicate the issue appropriately. Responsibilities Perform routine lawn and landscape maintenance Mow, edge, weed, trim, prune, and maintain landscaping Trim trees, shrubs, and other vegetation as needed Maintain the overall appearance, cleanliness, and upkeep of properties, offices, vehicles, and other assigned areas. Perform minor repairs and general handyman tasks Complete basic painting, touch-ups, and property repairs Use common hand tools and power tools safely and appropriately Perform minor maintenance and troubleshooting Assist with property improvement and maintenance projects Pick up and deliver supplies, materials, equipment, and other items as needed Load, unload, move, and organize materials and equipment Visit properties to check on maintenance needs and identify issues Take photos and provide updates when work is completed or issues are discovered Communicate maintenance concerns, property issues, or needed repairs promptly Coordinate with vendors or contractors when needed Keep work areas, properties, and equipment organized Assist with miscellaneous operational tasks and projects Handle unexpected or time-sensitive tasks as they arise Perform other duties and errands as needed to support property and business operations What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who: Is reliable, punctual, and dependable Has strong common sense and good judgment Is a problem solver and critical thinker Can work independently without constant supervision Takes initiative and doesn't need to be told what to do at every step Can recognize a problem and determine an appropriate solution Knows when a problem can be handled personally and when a professional is needed Pays attention to details and takes pride in their work Can prioritize and manage multiple tasks Is comfortable with a job where priorities can change throughout the day Is willing to do whatever legitimate task is needed to keep the properties operating and looking their best Communicates clearly and professionally Is comfortable interacting with vendors, contractors, employees, and property personnel Has a positive, can-do attitude Takes ownership of their responsibilities Is comfortable working both independently and as part of a team We are not looking for someone who needs to be told what to do all day. Qualifications & Requirements Previous experience in property maintenance, landscaping, handyman work, facilities maintenance, construction, or a related field preferred General knowledge of landscaping and property maintenance Basic handyman and repair skills Ability to safely use common hand and power tools Valid driver's license Clean driving record Reliable personal vehicle for travel between properties Valid automobile insurance Working cell phone for communication Ability to work outdoors in Florida heat and varying weather conditions Ability to lift, carry, load, and move materials and equipment as required Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday Must be dependable and consistently arrive on time Must be able to communicate effectively by phone and text The Right Person for This Position The right person will be resourceful, responsible, mechanically inclined, and comfortable figuring things out. You don't need to know how to do everything. However, you should be someone who can look at a situation, think it through, use good judgment, and determine the best next step. Full-time — 40 hours per week. Gas allowance , provided for work-related travel. Candidates with strong property maintenance experience, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to independently manage tasks may qualify toward the higher end of the pay range.
