Field Maintenance Reports to:Fields and Grounds Superintendent Fields and Grounds, Assistant Superintendent Job Summary:
The Field Maintenance Worker position works with a groundskeeping crew to ensure that the grounds and polo fields at the National Polo Center (NPC) are maintained with the highest level of care and safety for players, members, guests, and employees. Duties/Responsibilities (Includes but is not limited to): Mow polo fields Maintain grounds by pulling weeds, watering, removing trash, trimming, edging, pruning, hedging, and blowing leaves and debris using different pieces of landscape equipment Maintain level and safe polo fields by manually filling divots with sand Operate and maintain landscaping equipment keeping it clean and in working order Maintenance/leveling of sprinkler heads on the polo fields. Contribute to our safety culture by wearing assigned Personal Protective -Equipment ("PPE") Ensure that overall cleanliness and maintenance of NPC exceeds expectations Team members will work outdoors in weather conditions such as heat and humidityRequired Skills/Abilities:
Able to operate and drive machinery Able to operate landscaping equipment and hand tools Able to follow basic safety instructions and regulations Physical stamina to perform manual labor in various weather conditionsEducation and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent Field maintenance or groundskeeping experience (preferred)Physical Requirements:
The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee is frequently required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and pull to lift self on to equipment. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move over 20 pounds.Disclaimer:
