Job Description
Overview We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. This role involves performing a variety of maintenance, landscaping, and groundskeeping tasks to ensure the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our property. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical systems, landscaping, and general maintenance work, with the ability to operate various tools and equipment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about outdoor work and property upkeep to contribute to a well-maintained environment. Duties Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment, machinery, and facilities Perform lawn care tasks including mowing, edging, and fertilizing to maintain landscape appearance Carry out landscape maintenance activities such as planting, pruning, tree trimming, and gardening Operate hand tools, power tools, excavators, and other construction equipment safely and effectively Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and repairs Perform snow plowing during winter months to keep pathways clear and safe Maintain hardscape features including walkways, patios, and retaining walls Assist with tree care activities such as trimming and removal as needed Support general construction or repair projects around the property Ensure all groundskeeping activities comply with safety standards and environmental regulations Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in maintaining machinery and equipment Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and landscaping equipment such as excavators and snow plows Knowledge of lawn care techniques including mowing, edging, fertilizing, and aeration Experience with landscape maintenance including planting, pruning, tree care, and gardening practices Familiarity with irrigation systems installation and repair Ability to operate heavy machinery safely in outdoor settings Good physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues efficiently Knowledge of horticulture principles is a plus Ability to work independently or as part of a team in maintaining outdoor spaces effectively This Maintenance Person role is vital for ensuring our property remains safe, functional, and visually appealing.
