Position Summary:

The Maintenance Helper assists the maintenance team in supporting the safe and efficient operation of a chemical manufacturing facility. This position performs basic maintenance tasks, equipment cleaning, preventative maintenance activities, facility repairs, and general housekeeping. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist maintenance technicians with repairs and maintenance of production equipment, pumps, motors, mixers, conveyors, piping systems, and facility equipment.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance activities as directed.
• Clean, lubricate, and inspect machinery and equipment.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance work areas in a clean and organized condition.
• Assist with facility maintenance including painting, plumbing repairs, lighting replacement, and basic carpentry work.
• Support installation and relocation of equipment and machinery.
• Follow all plant safety rules, lockout/tagout procedures, and chemical handling requirements. Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools.
• Ability to work safely in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Previous manufacturing or maintenance experience preferred. Physical Requirements
• Lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb as needed.
• Wear required PPE at all times.

Expected hours:

40.0 - 60.0 per week

Experience:

Industrial mechanic: 2 years (Preferred)
