Job Description:
The primary purpose of your job position is to assist in supervising the day-to-day activities of the Maintenance Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing our facility, and as may be directed by the Director of Maintenance, to assure that our facility is maintained in a safe and comfortable manner.
Responsibilities:
Works throughout the facility (i.e., power rooms, resident rooms, therapy rooms, dietary, nursing services, etc.). Is subject to frequent interruptions and may need to reschedule maintenance activities. Works beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays when necessary, as well as in other positions as needed. Attends and participates in continuing educational programs. Is subject to exposure to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc., including TB and the AIDS and Hepatitis B viruses
Requirements/Qualifications:
Must possess, as a minimum, a high school education or its equivalent. Must have, as a minimum, two (2) years experience in a maintenance department in a health-related facility. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Must possess the ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and to accept constructive criticism. Must be knowledgeable of maintenance practices and procedures in nursing care facilities. Education High School Diploma/GED Experience Entry Level (0-2 years)
