Job Description
Description:
We are looking for a self-motivated, skilled maintenance worker to join our team. You will be responsible for applying basic fixes to appliances as needed as well as handling daily maintenance requests. The ideal candidate will have significant work experience with maintenance of rental properties. Experience is preferred, but not necessary. Will train the right candidate.Responsibilities:
- Repair appliances and equipment as needed
- Perform basic repairs and maintenance issues such as drywall repairs, flooring installation, etc.
- Report to property manager and maintenance manager for issues
- Perform cleaning activities such as dusting, mopping etc.
- Helping with snow during winter months
Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry skills
- Ability to take apart appliances, equipment or devices to replace defective parts
- Ability to use common tools such as hammers, saws, drills, wrenches etc.
- Ability to read blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary
- Ability to diagnose problems within many areas including but not limited to - water leaks, plumbing issues, electrical, etc.
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong time management skills
- Professional presentation and attitude
- Self-motivated individual whom is able to work without direct supervision
