In this hands-on position, you'll gain valuable experience while performing routine maintenance, essential service tasks, and minor repairs on a wide variety of motor vehicles. Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8AM-4:30PM, schedule may occasionally change to meet department requirements.
Location:
Fleet Services Office Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
One year of experience servicing or repairing motor vehicles, or Any combination of related post high school education and work experience that totals one year.
Special Qualifications:
Valid Driver's license is required and ability to meet and maintain UI Driving Policy. CDL with air brake & passenger endorsements or ability to attain within 120 days of employment after training from department. Ability to meet and maintain a driving record compliant with the UI Driving Policy Standards. The successful applicant will also be subject to DOT drug and alcohol screenings once the CDL is obtained.
Desirable Qualifications:
Customer service experience Knowledge of general motor vehicle maintenance Experience working under tight deadlines and prioritizing tasks
