A Maintenance Helper or Assistant assists maintenance mechanics. Repairs and maintains equipment and machines, such as cars or heating systems. May assemble or adjust machines as directed by a head mechanic.
Ziegler CAT has a part time seasonal Shop/Yard Helper position in our service department.
Responsibilities:
Transfer tools, components, parts, equipment, and supplies to and from work stations and other areas. Organize department tooling Supplies inventory Assist shop technicians with maintenance & repair of equipment. Help maintain the yard Load and unload trucks Support contamination control expectations Remove trash and recycling Clean in shop & facility Wash machines in the wash bay
Qualifications:
Able to work independently Team-player and willing to help wherever needed Maintains safe and organized work area Mechanical aptitude is preferable Excellent customer service skills
Push/pull up to 25 lbs Lift/carry up to 25 lbs Lift bulky objects Standing, walking, using hands, talking, hearing, neck rotation, trunk rotation, stair climbing, ladder climbing, repetitive bending, kneeling, sustained squat, forward reaching, overhead reaching, supine overhead reaching, crawling, bin lift, high steps, fingering/grasping - able to use bolt box. Working Conditions may be indoor and/or outdoor. Noise level may be loud at times. The pay range for this position is $15.73 to $18.86 Starting wage is dependent on skills, experience, education and location. Pay range may vary by 10% depending upon the applicant's location.
