We are seeking a dependable and hands-on Maintenance Assistant to support the maintenance team with general building, equipment, lawn, and grounds upkeep. The ideal candidate has basic knowledge of hand and power tools, basic plumbing and electrical skills, and a willingness to learn. Responsibilities Assist with general building and facility maintenance. Use basic hand and power tools safely and properly. Perform basic plumbing repairs, such as replacing faucets, valves, fittings, and clearing minor clogs. Assist with basic electrical tasks, including replacing switches, outlets, light fixtures, and troubleshooting minor issues under appropriate supervision. Perform minor carpentry, painting, drywall, and general repair work. Perform lawn and grounds care, including mowing, trimming, edging, weeding, and general landscaping. Maintain outdoor areas, walkways, entrances, and landscaped areas in a clean and safe condition. Operate and maintain basic lawn and grounds equipment. Assist with seasonal grounds maintenance, including leaf removal, snow and ice removal, and other weather-related tasks as needed. Inspect equipment, fixtures, buildings, and grounds and report maintenance issues. Assist with preventative maintenance and routine inspections. Keep maintenance areas, tools, equipment, and grounds organized and clean. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Perform other maintenance and grounds duties as assigned. Qualifications Basic knowledge of hand and power tools. Basic understanding of plumbing and electrical systems. Basic knowledge of lawn care and grounds maintenance. Ability to safely operate lawn and grounds equipment. Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn. Ability to follow instructions and work independently when needed. Good problem-solving and communication skills. Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic. Ability to safely lift, carry, bend, climb, kneel, and perform physical maintenance and groundskeeping tasks. Previous maintenance, construction, plumbing, electrical, landscaping, or facilities experience is a plus, but not required. Preferred Skills Basic plumbing repair experience. Basic electrical troubleshooting experience. Lawn mowing, trimming, edging, and landscaping experience. Experience operating lawn and grounds equipment. Familiarity with preventative maintenance. Basic knowledge of workplace safety practices.

Pay:

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 - 40.0 per week
