A Maintenance Helper or Assistant assists maintenance mechanics. Repairs and maintains equipment and machines, such as cars or heating systems. May assemble or adjust machines as directed by a head mechanic.

Three Island Crossing State Park Description:
Daily job may include but not limited to: Beautification and maintenance of the park grounds, buildings and equipment which includes general housekeeping duties for campgrounds, cabins, and public restroom/shower facilities. Sweeping, washing windows, mopping, scrubbing floors, filling dispensers, and collecting and disposing of trash and litter are completed daily. Cleaning fire pits and grills are completed weekly. Grass mowing and trimming, weed eradication, trail maintenance, pest control, irrigation of the park grounds is accomplished weekly. Other projects may include painting, minor carpentry projects, minor plumbing maintenance, and fence repair. Public relation duties consist of greeting visitors, assisting campers with questions and directions, and providing park related information as needed.
Requirements:
You should be flexible and able to perform routine maintenance tasks, operate a variety of equipment, follow written and oral instructions, perform moderately heavy labor, work under adverse weather conditions and deal appropriately and tactfully with others. Maintenance Workers must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license. You are also required to wear a park provided uniform.
