$ 2 5 About the Position We are seeking a dependable, hands-on General Maintenance Worker to support the upkeep, safety, and appearance of our CILA (Community Integrated Living Arrangement) homes. The ideal candidate is someone who takes pride in their work, can work independently, has good problem-solving skills, and understands the importance of maintaining a safe, comfortable, and welcoming home environment for the individuals we support. This position involves general home maintenance, repairs, preventative maintenance, and responding to maintenance needs across multiple residential locations. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs in CILA homes Complete basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, and appliance repairs Repair or replace doors, locks, faucets, light fixtures, outlets, cabinets, shelving, and other household items Perform preventative maintenance to help keep homes safe and in good working condition Inspect homes for maintenance, safety, and repair needs Complete landscaping, and exterior maintenance as needed Assemble furniture and install fixtures and equipment Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner Coordinate with contractors and outside service providers when specialized repairs are needed Maintain accurate records of completed maintenance and repairs Purchase or obtain necessary maintenance supplies and materials Keep work areas clean and organized Follow all applicable safety requirements and organizational policies Maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy and dignity of the individuals living in the homes Perform other maintenance duties as assigned Qualifications Previous experience in general maintenance, residential maintenance, construction, facilities maintenance, or a related field preferred Strong knowledge of basic home repairs and maintenance Ability to troubleshoot problems and determine appropriate solutions Ability to use common hand and power tools safely Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required Ability to travel between multiple CILA homes Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Good communication and organizational skills Dependable, punctual, and able to respond to maintenance needs Must be able to pass required background checks and meet all applicable employment requirements Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to: Lift and carry maintenance materials and equipment Bend, kneel, climb ladders, reach, and work in various positions Perform indoor and outdoor maintenance throughout the year Safely operate common hand and power tools Work in a variety of residential environments Preferred Qualifications Experience maintaining group homes, CILA homes, assisted living facilities, or other residential settings HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or carpentry experience Experience with preventative maintenance programs Experience coordinating contractors and service providers Basic computer or smartphone skills for documenting work orders What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Consistent work schedule Opportunity for additional hours when available Independent work environment Meaningful work supporting individuals in their homes Supportive team environment Paid time off and benefits for eligible employees How to Apply If you are a reliable, skilled, and hardworking maintenance professional who enjoys keeping homes safe, comfortable, and well maintained, we would like to hear from you.
