Job Overview Join our dynamic maintenance team as an Assistant Lead Maintenance Technician dedicated to supporting the upkeep and smooth operation of residential apartment communities. In this energetic role, you will assist in maintaining buildings and grounds, performing repairs, and ensuring a safe, comfortable living environment for residents. Your proactive approach and technical skills will contribute to the overall excellence of our property management operations, fostering a positive experience for tenants and staff alike. Duties Assist with routine inspections and preventative maintenance of building interior systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and equipment. Perform repairs on electrical equipment, plumbing systems, HVAC units, and mechanical components using hand tools and schematics. Perform maintenance painting, carpentry, and drywall repairs. Use electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters to diagnose issues with electrical circuits and equipment. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections in accordance with operational procedures. Support the Maintenance Supervisor in executing complex repairs involving welding, electrical work, or facilities equipment maintenance while adhering to safety protocols. Provide leadership to maintenance team Requirements Proven experience in residential maintenance with a strong mechanical knowledge base. Familiarity with electrical work, plumbing system maintenance and repair, HVAC system repair, and building interior maintenance. Ability to read schematics and technical manuals related to facilities equipment and electrical systems. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment such as ohmmeters. Knowledge of maintenance, repair & operations practices within a residential setting. Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude toward residents and team members. Basic leadership qualities with the ability to follow instructions accurately while working independently or as part of a team.
