City of Macomb - Public Works Department Operations Division The City of Macomb, Illinois, is hiring a Maintenance Worker (Operator I in Training) for the Operations Division.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operates light equipment, small equipment and hand tools as required for the assigned work.
• Operates heavy equipment as qualified or under instruction when training.
• Performs manual labor as required to complete the assigned work.
• Exercises the decisions and judgments required to complete the assigned tasks.
• Performs minor recordkeeping appropriate to the assignment.
• Exercises safe work practices.
• Set up barricades, fences, and railings on work sites necessary to protect the public and employees.

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED Class B CDL within 180 days of hire Residency in McDonough County Pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check

Compensation & Benefits:

Starting Salary:

$40,958.05 annually ($19.70 per hour).

Advancement Opportunities:
