We have a thorough but FAST hiring process! The Maintenance person is responsible for assuring that the equipment within the facility is operating efficiently. This includes maintaining and repairing equipment including, but not limited to plumbing, electrical or HVAC systems and general carpentry.

HOUR. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Basic maintenance on equipment in the facility, doing minor repairs, as necessary. Monitor the oil burner and the lifts in the service department. Pump out drains after rainfall. Clean oil spills. Use the CUDA washer. Change light bulbs, including outdoor lighting. Assist department managers with facility projects. Maintain the flag and area surrounding the flagpole. Assist with state and federal building compliance issues. Keep walkways clear of snow and ice.

QUALITIES FOR SUCCESS

Must possess a valid Illinois driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Be mechanically inclined and have previous experience in a mechanical position. Basic knowledge of most hand tools with competency in the use of them. Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information. Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised.
