Job Description

AutoMAK is a leading supplier of industrial vacuum lifting equipment used to install insulated metal roof & siding panels on commercial building projects. We work in partnership with contractors and manufacturers to bring solution driven equipment, which provide increased productivity, and practical safety benefits. It is this focus on the end user which has fueled AutoMAK's growth. Allowing us to become the trusted and respected source of vacuum lifting equipment for commercial roofing & siding markets. We have a full time position open for an Equipment Technician / Shop Assistant working from our US head office in Crown Point, IN. The following are the duties and responsibilities: Strong focus on cleaning and recondition vacuum lifter equipment rental fleet Pack and ship parts and equipment orders, including verifying items with shipping checklists and preparing shipping labels Loading / unloading delivery vehicles Operating handling equipment according to industrial safety regulations Performing general shop related work as necessary Assist Technicians as needed with various tasks Shop/office upkeep includes sweeping, trash collection, company fleet cleanliness, etc… Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned to support shop and operational needs
Required Skills:
Willingness to complete various tasks as assigned Excellent attention to detail Practical hands-on skills and mind-set Ability to clean and scrub construction equipment Maintenance experience desired Ability to maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations Strong reliability and dependability Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision Positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a team environment Physical Requirements Ability to perform manual labor in a physically demanding environment Stand and remain on your feet for most or all of the work shift Regularly lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 50 pounds Perform repetitive physical tasks such as bending, reaching, and moving materials Applicable Skills (Not Required):
